How to order a custom hair piece
You'll need a custom hair piece if
-
Your head does not have a smooth contour. What? If you have lumps or dents in
your scalp, in stock is NOT
for you.

The amount of grey you need is in a greater percentage in front or around the
temples.
-
You want to vary the degree of hair density in your hair
-
You want lighter color highlights
-
Your balding area is larger than the base size of the hair replacement base you
want to order
Please allow 4-6 weeks for custom orders. We will need a template of your head
and a color sample of your hair. Simply follow the instructions below. Then
mail the template and the color samples to this address.
Special Note: If you have an old hair system, you can skip
making a new template. Just mail us the old unit and we'll use it to make your
new one.

How to make a template of your head:

 1. Place a 18 inch square of
clear plastic wrap so that it covers the top portion of your head. After
pressing the wrap close to the head, use tape to contour your head shape.
|
|
 2. Beginning at the
forehead, place transparent tape on the wrap over what will become the outer
perimeters of the pattern. These outer perimeters are determined by your areas
of baldness. After you have taped the boundaries, cover the inner portion of
the plastic wrap with overlapping pieces of tape. Apply 3 layers of tape. The
tape will lock the plastic wrap into a permanent transparent tape template.

 3. Using a sharpie permanent
marker, draw a line on the plastic wrap that goes around your hairline. To
establish the front hairline, place 3-4 fingers above the brow line. Deeper
recessions look more natural.

 4. Indicate the hair pattern
and part, if desired. Apply another layer of tape. Trim off excess plastic wrap
along the hairline.

How to take a color sample
|
1 - Front
2 - Temple
3 - Top Front
4 - Behind Ear
5 - Top Crown
6 - Back
· Cut a small sample swatch of your natural hair about 1" long. If you would
like to match specific areas of your hair, use the chart for your hair samples.
Cut and label your samples. Small ziplock (plastic bags) work out great.
